The 300-pound rated bunks beat the competition by close to 50 pounds, and in the 299BHU floorplan, the double bunk is rated at an incredible 600-pounds. The trailer continues to beat the competition with 30-inch by 72-inch entry doors and a STARMAXX pass-through storage area, complete with a light and tool hooks.
On the exterior, the 2013 Travel Star travel trailer comes with four bolted, not screwed, stabilizer jacks, a spare tire with carrier, exterior speakers, an outside shower, an outside kitchen with a Coleman grill, and a six-foot awning. In addition to these outside features, the Travel Star travel trailer also comes with a remote control for the awning, slideout, porch light, security light, and front and rear jacks if upgraded to the Galaxy Package.
The living area in the 2013 Travel Star travel trailer includes an upgraded hide-a-bed sofa with a foam mattress as opposed to an air mattress, plywood dinette, bed, and bunk platforms, screwed stile lumber core cabinetry, and dark tinted safety glass windows and pleated shades for more privacy. In the 294RESA model, a fireplace now comes as an option, and in all models, a 22-inch LED TV is an option in the bedroom and the living area TV has been upgraded to an LED 1080P TV for better viewing angles. In the kitchen, the Travel Star travel trailer offers a deep, oversized sink with an upgraded faucet and pull-out sprayer, sink covers with an integrated drying rack, spice rack storage, integrated trash can storage, and a storable kitchen cutting board. All models also have a three-burner range and six cubic-foot refrigerator.
The upgrades continue with the optional Galaxy Package that features 18 enhancements, including a colored fiberglass front cap, a deluxe graphics package, two 30-pound propane bottles with a cover, a large folding grab handle at the main entry door, raised panel cabinetry throughout, hardwood panel refrigerator door inserts, sliding doors in the front bedroom, an upgraded bedroom headboard with an integrated shelf, and a 32-inch LED TV with DVD player.
Built for reliability and durability, the Travel Star uses TuffShell vacuum-bonded lamination during construction. The walls combine welded aluminum framing, fiberglass sidewalls and metal backers, ensuring they can handle the toughest conditions.
