Let Your Profession Take the Lead

RVing doesn’t have to mean leaving your job, life and love behind. Let the RV be what brings that all together. For Courtney and Jeremy, they used their RV to embark on a journey as full-time RVers and traveling healthcare workers.

Before owning an RV, their lives were focused around frequently packing and relocating to different apartments and houses due to schooling and clinic rotations. Switching to RVing allowed them to truly embrace the luxury of their home, wherever they go. No matter the destination, your space is familiar, comfortable and truly yours – it’s a constant in the ever-changing adventure of travel and work.

As travel physical therapists, relocating can happen as often as every three months, or longer, depending on contracts. Being on the road, between assignments, you can explore during your time off! For Courtney and Jeremy, living in their RV has further deepened their love for the outdoors, inspiring them to pursue even more adventures beyond the travels required for work.

A Sense of Freedom and Stability

One of the most unexpected benefits of RV life is the sense of freedom and stability it provides, despite the constant travel. Living in an RV allows you to take your home with you wherever you go. That consistency creates a comforting familiarity no matter the destination. For those that love the outdoors, your RV connects you even further to nature, it gives you the flexibility to pursue adventures on your own terms or turn work-related moves into exciting opportunities to explore the country.

A Piece of Advice

Like most things in life, we learn by doing. Don’t let inexperience hold you back from taking that leap of faith. Nearly everything Courtney and Jeremy learned about RV living has come from their own journey, not from what they knew beforehand. There are endless resources and a welcoming community ready to offer support. If they can do it, so can you!

When planning a trip to a new work destination, always start by looking at the bigger picture to map out all possible routes between your current location and where you’re headed. Distance and time are the key factors, depending on how much time off you have between contracts and the distance between destinations. Next, consider locations on your 'must-visit' list and adjust your route to include them. Weather also plays a significant role, as you should try to avoid extreme heat or cold whenever possible.
